According to Google, this feature works entirely on-device to preserve privacy. As you’re typing out a sentence, Gboard will highlight any grammatical errors with a blue underline. Tapping on the highlighted part will show the grammatically correct phrase or word in place of the contextual word suggestions. You can tap on it to quickly correct your sentence. Of course, you can ignore those blue underlines if you don’t want your sentence to be grammatically correct....
