As of this writing, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is picking up the new SMR (security maintenance release) in Spain. But it shouldn’t be long before the rollout expands to other regions. The update is rolling out with firmware version G781BXXS4CUL3. The 4G variant of the phone received this month’s security patch last week. The Galaxy A71 is also first receiving the December update in Europe. It is now available to users in several European countries, including the Czech Republic, Germany, and the UK....

According to SamMobile, who first reported this rollout, the latest update for the Galaxy S21 series comes with the firmware version G99xBXXS3AUJ7. We don’t have a changelog handy to confirm this, but the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra are unlikely to be getting any new features with this update. Samsung would now be keeping everything for the Android 12-based One UI 4.0, which should arrive soon. SellCell compared the depreciating value of the three phones over two months, finding that the Galaxy S22’s value shrunk by 46.8% over its original price tag. The December security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is currently available to users of the unlocked unit on AT&T’s network, SamMobile reports. The update comes with firmware version F936U1UEU1BVKB and has an OTA (over the air) download size of more than 400MB. Both the build number and the file size suggest this release has more than just the latest vulnerability fixes. However, the publication doesn’t have more information to share....
