Samsung will produce its 3nm chips using the GAAFET (gate-all-around field-effect transistor) architecture. It is an advanced chip fabrication tech and a step up from the FinFET (fin field-effect transistor) architecture that the current generation of nanometer semiconductors employ. GAAFET is said to reduce the chip size by 45 percent as compared to 5nm FinFET chips. Simultaneously, the advanced tech will allow for a 30 percent performance boost without affecting power consumption....

The June SMR (Security Maintenance Release) contains fixes for more than 70 vulnerabilities. These include several critical flaws related to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. A bunch of these issues are exclusive to Samsung’s Android-powered devices, including smartphones and tablets. The Galaxy A51 is picking up all those vulnerability fixes with the latest update. This release likely won’t bring any other goodies to the device. It recently received the Android 12-based One UI 4....

As of this writing, the Galaxy Note 9 is receiving the May SMR (Security Maintenance Release) in Germany. The new firmware version for the phone is N960FXXS9FVE1. This update should gradually reach other European countries as well as markets outside Europe over the next few days. As you’d expect, the aging Samsung flagship isn’t getting any new features with this update. The phone is too old now to receive feature updates....

The Galaxy A13 4G has its four rears cameras and the LED flash protruding out of the device’s body individually, like on the Galaxy S22 Ultra....

We’re expecting the Galaxy S23 to have an “Apple” level of iterative tweaks. In fact, we expect it to be about the same as this year’s phone. The Ultra variant, in particular, appears to be a carbon copy of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
