The goal here for Samsung is to allow gamers to enjoy games without having tp purchase separate, expensive gaming hardware. Though at this point in time, it might be more challenging to “find” some of the more expensive gaming hardware than pay for it. Therein potentially lies an opportunity for Samsung. If it can manage to deliver a high-grade gaming experience over the cloud. If so, then all consumers would need is a Samsung TV running Tizen and a compatible controller....
Clever tech enthusiasts have been able to load different operating systems onto different devices. One person was actually able to load Windows 11 on a Google Pixel 6 Pro. There are enormous technical feats like that, and there are cases where people put Wordle on a GameBoy. However, these are just experiments to see if it could be done. So, don’t expect to edit videos using Adobe Premiere on a Pixel 6 running Windows 11 anytime soon....
For those that still own a PS VR headset, this is surely going to be a bummer. As it means they’ll have to switch back and forth between headsets when wanting to play games. And they’ll have to keep the old headset in general. That’s less of an issue when setting up the PS VR2 since it’ll connect with a single cable. But the PS VR has a more involved connection setup....
