Samsung first released the December security patch to the international versions of the Galaxy Fold last week. Both LTE and 5G variants of the phone have since picked up the latest SMR in several countries across the world. It’s now arriving for units in the US as well. The rollout has begun for unlocked variants and should soon hit carrier-locked units as well. This month’s security update contains fixes for several dozen vulnerabilities from both Samsung and Google....

As far as the content of the January SMR (security maintenance release) is concerned, Samsung recently confirmed that it brings fixes for over 60 vulnerabilities found in Google’s version of Android as well as the Korean brand’s custom software. A handful of those were critical issues. First reported by SamMobile, the new update for the Galaxy S21 FE is currently rolling out to users in Thailand.
